The EU Data Act is a new and integral part of the overall EU Data Directive. Like GDPR, the Data Act addresses the ownership, usage and sharing of data but this time for non-personal data generated by connected devices.
Compliance will require that every user of your service is able to request their own device data in machine readable format or request that it be shared with any EU third party.
The commercial, legal and technical implications of compliance are considerable and there is only a short time to comply.
